Just updating you on EJ. Hes all set for vaccinations for a year and a very healthy little puppy. Hes catching on quick to commands and loves going on walks. Ive recently found out hes obsessed with birds. He can sit there and stare at them fly around for hours. All the results for any parasites came back as negative which is great. Hes now whining and goes by the front door when he has to go to the bathroom which is excellent for me and the house. Megan and I make sure hes playing with other dogs all the time and hes quite the instigator. His ears have been starting to flip sideways more and every so often perks them up like a german sheperd. Itll be interesting to see how he turns out to be when hes older but his legs and paws have definitely gotten bigger. Hes at 13lbs (was at 12) and everyone at the vet loves the little guy. Hes also discovered how much he hates baths (seen in the pictures)
He has integrated seamlessly into our household. He's so loving and playful...everyone address him. He loves to cuddle and purr up a storm. A very sweet cat!
Hi Lori,
Jeckle is adjusting wonderfully! He is doing very well with the kennel. He has a voice on him, but it doesn't last too long. When he goes in the kennel he whines and barks for about 5-10 minutes and falls asleep. He did good while we were at work last night, no accidents :) We've only had a couple accidents around the house. I figured we would, being very persistent with letting him outside and rewarding with treats.
He's so spoiled already! His favorite spot is in front of the fireplace. He has become very attached to me in particular. Loves being in my lap and follows me everywhere! :)
The first day he didn't eat much and spent most of the time laying on my lap but he is exploring more and being more independent today. Loves his raw-hides too!!
I will be scheduling his first vet appt. this week as well as puppy classes.
All in all things are going great! He is such a good puppy and I'm so glad he is here with us. Thank you!
I will send occasional emails to you with his progress. And pictures!
(If you have problems seeing the pictures I attached, let me know and I will try and re-send them)
Thanks again!
Sam
Hello- here is my lovely little pup. She loves veggies like you suggested :) the jacket is for the outdoors.. The best part was a couple days later when her tail started standing straight up. You guys really know what you're doing and we can tell you love them immensely. Thanks!
Hi,
I just wanted to update you both on Sadie:
Sadie is a fantastic dog! However she is ridiculously difficult to take a
picture of; she is either a blur of motion or sleeping curled up in a ball,
preferably on a lap. The attached picture is the best I could do. She will only
fetch sticks but won't usually go for a ball. She also likes playing tug with a
stick with another dog and actually 'won' a game with a lab the other day.
She is four weeks through a six week obedience class and is a quick study. Right
now she knows sit, down, stay, leave it, and paw. Her recall is excellent ,
even from all the way across the dog park. The treats that I always have in my
pocket probably help. :)
We are going to enroll her in the intermediate class and then have her take the
canine good citizen test. The vet and a couple different people at the dog park
have suggested we do some agility training with her, so I think we may explore
that next. She is very focused on us when she's off leash and is very fast and
bouncy, so I think she'd probably love it.
She gets along beautifully with our cats and looooooves to play with Wilbur
especially. She is constantly play bowing to him and I think he's starting to
figure out what she's asking for. She also plays really well with almost every
dog she meets at the dog park. It's fun to watch her go around greeting every
person and dog. We had a play date with two couples and their dogs tonight and
the dogs were so much fun to watch together. Plus, she's exhausted from all the
playing.
When we first got her she was afraid of the car, but she's over that and loves
it since it takes her to the park. She was also afraid of the floors at first
but is over that completely. She still wont go downstairs to the basement, but I
think we're not going to train her out of it, as the litter boxes are down
there.
She usually gets two good runs in each day, one before we go to work and one
before dinner. Toby has taken charge of getting her out and running. His
dedication has been really awesome, especially during the winter. The summer
should be a piece of cake as long as the mosquitoes aren't too bad.
Anyway, we are so grateful to have her. She is such a great dog and we love her
to bits. Thanks for helping her get to us.
Angie
